Ahoy Shipmates! It is time to register for the 2009 Reunion, to be held in Jacksonville, Florida during the period Thursday, July 30 thru Sunday, August 2, 2009.  Member requirements to attend our first ever reunion are:

1. Complete and mail in OUELLET reunion registration\tours form.
2. Contact Crowne Plaza hotel directly to reserve your room and meal package.

Hotel Registration

The Association has blocked a limited number of rooms at a special group rate for those dates.  The special group rate is available three (3) days prior to and three (3) days following the reunion dates, based upon hotel availability.

BOOK EARLY TO INSURE YOUR SPOT AT THE REUNION.

The hotel is conveniently located only 20 minutes/miles away from the Jacksonville International Airport.  Transportation to and from the airport is available via the Express Shuttle, (904) 353-8880, for $35.00 each way, or taxi fare runs approximately $40.00 each way.  For downtown transportation, the Skyway Express is available around town and across the river for $.50 (50 cents) per person each way; as well as the Water Taxi, (904)733-7782, for $3.00 - $5.00 per person each way.

Reservations can be made immediately.

Identify yourself as a member of the USS OUELLET Association when making reservations. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card or an advance deposit of the first night's room rate and tax. All room rates are quoted do not include applicable taxes.  Please note the tax for Jacksonville is currently thirteen percent (13%).  Room block has been extended through Monday, July 20, 2009.   After the cut-off date, no reservations will be accepted at the special group rate, and will be on a space available basis, BOOK EARLY.

GUEST ROOM CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIME:

Check-in Time:  4:00 PM.

Check-out Time:  11:00 AM

 

All guests arriving before the scheduled time will be accommodated, as rooms are available, bags can be stored with hotel staff if needed.

EARLY DEPARTURE FEE:

In the event a guest who has requested a room within the block checks out prior to his or her reserved departure date, the Hotel will add an early departure fee of $50.00 to that guest’s individual account.  Guests wishing to avoid an early departure fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

CANCELLATION / NO SHOW FEE:

A reservation may be cancelled without penalty if the reservation is cancelled at least 72 hours prior to the guest arrival date.  If a reservation is cancelled after 72 hours prior to the guest arrival date, or if the guest fails to show on the day of arrival, a charge equal to the first night’s room and tax will be placed on the credit card provided for each room reserved.  In the event a deposit was provided to guarantee the reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.

In the event of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded if the reservation is cancelled at least 72 hours prior to arrival.  Failing to call or show before 2:00 am after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.

Meal Package

The meal package is $72.00 per person inclusive (taxes and gratuities) to be billed directly to each attending member’s room bill at check-out. It will appear on your room bill as a miscellaneous charge. The package includes 3 meals Friday welcome reception, Saturday dinner buffet, and Sunday departure breakfast.  Member’s attending the reunion and not reserving a room must pay for their meal package directly to the hotel. Meal tickets will be issued to all attendees to gain entrance to the 3 meal events.
